Rock
The unmoved stone at the edge of the workshop — the place where the desk was built and the town first took root.
Rock is not a mountain. It is not a monument. It is the plain outcropping of pale granite at the western edge of the workshop, where the ground refuses to soften.
The first travelers rested against it. The first pickaxe was sharpened on it. The Roll-Top Desk was assembled in its shadow because Rock would not move for weather, for fire, or for time.
In Brassheart, when someone says "meet me at Rock," they mean the place where nothing changes — the fixed point against which every other story is measured.
