The Constitution of

BRASSHEART

The Founder's Charter

A town is not built from wood, stone, or brass. It is built from the promises its people choose to keep.

PREAMBLE

We, the people of Brassheart, believe that every life possesses worth.

We believe that broken is not the end of a story.

We believe that knowledge should be shared, kindness should be practiced, and hope should be built with our own hands.

Brassheart exists not to escape the world, but to become an example of what the world can be.

Therefore, we dedicate ourselves to these principles.

Article I

Every Person Has Worth

A person's value is never measured by wealth, appearance, education, status, or the mistakes behind them.

Every citizen begins with dignity.

Article II

Hope Is Built

Hope is not a feeling.

Hope is created through action.

Every repaired roof…

Every shared meal…

Every lesson taught…

Every hand extended…

adds another brick to Brassheart.

Article III

Teach Freely

Knowledge grows when it is shared.

Those who learn are encouraged to teach.

Those who teach are encouraged to keep learning.

No citizen owns wisdom.

They borrow it for a time before passing it on.

Article IV

Create More Than You Consume

Every citizen is encouraged to leave the world a little better than they found it.

Sometimes that means building.

Sometimes planting.

Sometimes listening.

Sometimes simply refusing to give up.

Article V

Work Has Purpose

No honest work is beneath anyone.

Every craft matters.

The baker. The miner. The inventor. The gardener. The healer. The storyteller.

Together they create a town greater than any one of them.

Article VI

Everyone Deserves a New Beginning

No one arriving in Brassheart is defined by the worst day of their life.

The past may explain someone.

It never imprisons them.

Article VII

Kindness Requires Courage

Compassion is not weakness.

It is one of the strongest choices a person can make.

Especially when it costs something.

Article VIII

Protect Wonder

Curiosity is encouraged.

Questions are welcomed.

Children are listened to.

Dreamers are not mocked.

Imagination is one of the town's greatest natural resources.

Article IX

Stewardship

The land. The water. The animals. The forests. The mines. The tools. The buildings.

We do not inherit them from those before us.

We borrow them from those who come after us.

Article X

Leave the Gate Open

Brassheart remembers what it felt like to have nowhere to go.

The gate remains open.

Not because everyone who enters is perfect.

But because someone once left it open for us.

THE FOUNDER'S OATH

Spoken not as a requirement, but as a promise.

“I will leave this place better than I found it.

I will share what I know.

I will protect those who need protecting.

I will build more hope than fear.

And when my work is finished, I will leave the gate open for the next traveler.”

Founder's Closing Words

There are no perfect citizens.

Only people willing to keep building.

Brassheart does not ask for perfection.

ONLY PROGRESS.
